01

Nature of Services

Pause and Arrive offers leadership retreats, coaching conversations, and written content designed to support personal reflection, clarity, and intentional living. Amit Chilka is an ICF-certified coach with 22 years of corporate HR leadership experience.

Viram is an immersive four-day retreat built around the concept of deliberate pause. It combines facilitated group sessions, nature immersion, breathwork, journaling, creative exercises, and one-to-one conversation. It is designed for high-performing adults who are functioning well professionally but feel that something important is missing from how they are living.

Viram is not a clinical program. It does not diagnose, treat, or manage any medical or psychiatric condition. It is not a substitute for medical care, psychiatric treatment, or licensed psychological therapy.

02

Not a Medical Service

Nothing offered by Pause and Arrive — including the Viram retreat, any coaching session, any written content, or any communication from Amit — constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

If you are experiencing symptoms of a medical condition — physical or psychiatric — please consult a qualified medical professional before attending Viram. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Active depression, anxiety disorders, or other diagnosed psychiatric conditions
  • A history of trauma that is currently unresolved or actively destabilising
  • Substance dependency or active addiction
  • Any physical health condition that may be affected by travel, outdoor activity, or changes in routine
  • Suicidal ideation or self-harm — please contact a crisis service immediately
If you are in crisis

Viram is not designed for people in acute mental health crisis. If you are in crisis, please contact iCall India at 9152987821 or Vandrevala Foundation at 1860-2662-345 (available 24/7). These services are staffed by trained professionals and are free to use.

03

Not Therapy or Counselling

Amit Chilka is an ICF-certified coach. Coaching is distinct from therapy and counselling in important ways. Coaching works with functioning adults on present-focused goals and future direction. It does not involve the diagnosis or treatment of psychological conditions, working through past trauma, or managing mental health crises.

Participants sometimes describe Viram as going deeper than therapy. This reflects the intensity of the experience for people who arrive without acute clinical needs — not a claim that it replaces clinical treatment for those who require it.

If you are currently in therapy, we encourage you to discuss attending Viram with your therapist before registering. In most cases there is no conflict — many therapists have supported clients in attending. But your therapist knows your situation and is best placed to advise you.

04

No Professional Advice

Nothing on this website or communicated by Amit Chilka constitutes legal, financial, investment, tax, or medical advice. Any content discussing career decisions, business strategy, financial choices, or life direction is for informational and reflective purposes only.

Decisions made as a result of attending Viram, reading content on this website, or engaging in coaching conversations are entirely your own. Pause and Arrive is not liable for any decision you make or action you take based on your experience at the retreat or your engagement with our content.

05

Individual Results

The experiences described by Viram alumni — including testimonials on this website — reflect their individual experiences. Results vary. What one person experiences at Viram will not be identical to what another person experiences. Factors including your personal history, your readiness for the work, your openness during the retreat, and your circumstances afterward all influence the outcome.

Pause and Arrive makes no guarantee of any specific outcome from attending Viram. We do not promise that you will achieve particular professional results, resolve specific personal challenges, or experience any defined emotional or psychological shift.

What we do commit to: four days of carefully designed, personally facilitated experience that gives you the space, structure, and support to do work that is difficult to do inside your ordinary life. What you do with that is yours.

06

Health and Safety

By registering for Viram, you confirm that you are in a state of general good health and that you are not aware of any medical condition that would make attendance unsafe or inappropriate.

You agree to disclose any relevant health information to Amit before the retreat — including physical limitations, allergies, dietary requirements, or mental health history that may affect your participation. This information is held in confidence and used only to support your safety and experience at the retreat.

Pause and Arrive reserves the right to decline registration or ask a participant to leave the retreat if their presence poses a risk to themselves or others. In such cases, the Cohort Commitment and Transfer Policy applies.

07

Physical Activities

Viram includes gentle outdoor activities — forest walks, riverside visits, and light nature immersion. These are not strenuous and are designed to be accessible to adults of varying fitness levels. They are not competitive or high-intensity.

Breathwork sessions are guided and accessible to anyone who can sit comfortably and breathe. Yoga Nidra involves lying still and following verbal guidance — no prior yoga experience is required or expected.

If you have a physical condition that limits mobility or affects your ability to participate in any of these activities, please let Amit know at the time of registration. Adjustments can be made. No one is expected to do anything they are not comfortable doing.

You participate in all physical activities at your own risk. Pause and Arrive is not liable for any injury sustained during the retreat unless caused by our direct negligence.
